The role of Food and Beverage Manager at Oneida Golf and Country Club presents an exceptional career opportunity for hospitality professionals with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service and managing dynamic food and beverage operations. This full-time position involves comprehensive oversight of all food and beverage activities, including special events, catering, and facility upkeep. A critical part of the role includes balancing revenue production with the productivity and financial performance of the food and beverage department, ensuring events are both successful and profitable.

The Food and Beverage Manager will lead, hire, and train dining and bar staff, supervise seasonal employees, collaborate closely with the culinary team on menu development, and implement dining promotions that enhance the overall member experience. This role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to evaluate performance, address complaints, and resolve operational issues promptly. The ideal candidate will be adept at budget monitoring, inventory control, and clearly communicating priorities to staff. Job Duties

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • assist in the management of department members including servers, greeters, runners, bartenders
  • assist with budget monitoring assigned Food and Beverage areas
  • review current day’s business levels in dining room/bar operations and assign priorities
  • relay pertinent information to key staff including sous chef, bar supervisors, executive offices, concierge, and membership office
  • assist Food and Beverage Director in monitoring dining room and bar success and conduct semi-annual performance reviews
  • conduct regular staff meetings
  • assure effective orientation and ongoing training programs
  • responsible for ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • create cocktail lists and promote drink features
  • work with sous chef on dining room menu promotions
  • educate staff and communicate for marketing
  • ensure regular and reliable attendance
