Job Requirements

  • Food service certification
  • adequate education or training to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • ability to work under pressure efficiently and accurately
  • recommended completion of high school or equivalent
  • physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • adherence to dress regulations and use of personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • recommended completion of high school or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Cook and bake food and pastries according to planned menus
  • prepare reports to validate daily transactions and meal preparations
  • ensure all meal components are present and accounted for
  • store food properly to maintain freshness and integrity
  • provide food service to customers following meal schedules and procedures
  • use and maintain culinary tools effectively, especially knives
  • prepare a variety of foods and beverages promptly
  • enhance dishes with decorative garnishes
  • assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and cooking tools
  • adhere to food safety regulations including proper food handling and storage
  • comply with uniform and personal protective equipment standards
  • coordinate daily menu preparation with manager
  • regulate food temperatures for safety
  • maintain a clean and organized work area
  • implement hygienic cleaning practices for equipment and workspaces
  • perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and washing wares
  • keep garbage collection points and kitchen floors clean
  • perform additional tasks as assigned including support across kitchen areas
