We are currently seeking a part-time Food and Event Delivery Driver to join the Roots team. This role is much more than a typical delivery job; the driver will be responsible not only for transporting food from our facility to customers but also occasionally assisting with the setup of delivered food. This may involve carrying large boxes weighing up to 30 pounds across hallways and elevators to ensure our customers receive their orders in excellent condition. The role requires excellent communication skills, as the driver will interact with customers both via phone and in person, serving as a vital face of the Roots brand. This position demands a high level of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility.

The delivery driver position at Roots is a contracted role rather than employment with traditional benefits. It offers an expected pay of approximately $40 or more per delivery, reflecting the importance of providing outstanding customer service and careful management of deliveries. Initially, the role requires a commitment of about five hours per week, with the potential to increase to 10 hours weekly over six months based on availability and interest. Our ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, typically available between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Monday through Friday. Orders for each day are provided by 8:30 a.m. via email, enabling you to plan your day accordingly.

Successful candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, have car insurance, and maintain a reliable vehicle to ensure timely and safe deliveries. Access to an email account and a working phone at all times during shifts are mandatory for receiving orders and communicating with customers.
