Job Description

The Hilton Anchorage is Alaska's largest full-service hotel, strategically located in the heart of downtown Anchorage. This prominent hotel boasts 606 well-appointed rooms and offers a wide array of amenities including a full-service restaurant and bar, room service, a fitness center, an indoor pool, and over 20,000 square feet of flexible event space that can accommodate diverse functions and special occasions. We are currently seeking motivated and service-focused individuals to become part of our esteemed Food & Beverage team. This multi-position opportunity allows for placement into roles such as Server, Barista, or Busser, based on the candidate's unique skills and experience. Each position plays a pivotal role in sustaining the high standards of service that the Hilton Anchorage is known for, especially during peak service hours. Our ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic, maintains a positive attitude, works diligently, and embraces a team-first mentality. The positions demand individuals who are able to function efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, delivering attentive and friendly service with an eye toward enhancing each guest's dining experience.

In the role of Server, responsibilities include providing attentive table service, taking accurate food and beverage orders, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to assist guests effectively. Server candidates should be adept at handling guest concerns with professionalism and tact to ensure complete satisfaction.

The Barista role focuses on preparing and serving a variety of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages, while upholding cleanliness and organization of the coffee station. The barista must be capable of operating point-of-sale systems and handling transactions swiftly to maintain a smooth service flow in a busy environment.

Meanwhile, the Busser assists in maintaining the flow of service by clearing and resetting tables promptly, supporting both servers and baristas, and ensuring that dining and service areas are clean and well-stocked. This role is crucial to upholding the overall guest experience through diligent back-of-house support.

All team members share common responsibilities including upholding sanitation and cleanliness standards, adhering to hotel policies and food safety guidelines, and communicating effectively across departments to ensure seamless service during high-volume periods. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience using POS systems, knowledge of food safety, and those who have worked previously in hotel or high-volume restaurant environments.

Physically, these roles require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, the capacity to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies weighing between 25 and 40 pounds, and the endurance to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
