Its commitment extends to offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits to support the well-being of team members and their families. Target offers a dynamic and supportive environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and guest-focused service.
The Food & Beverage Team Leader role at Target is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing food-related operations within the store. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and managing a high-performing team. The Team Leader ensures food freshness, stock availability, accurate pricing, and effective promotional activities within the store's Food & Beverage departments. The position is hourly with a starting pay range of $22.00 to $24.00 and a full pay range up to $37.40 per hour, with pay determined by factors such as labor market conditions, education, experience, and certifications.
This leadership role requires the ability to manage department sales trends, inventory accuracy, food safety, and quality standards, fostering a culture of freshness and guest service excellence. Leading a team involves interviewing, training, coaching, evaluating, retaining, and developing talent to build a motivated and skilled workforce. The Team Leader plays an integral role in creating a welcoming and inspiring shopping environment for guests by ensuring consistency in operational standards and customer service.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the role involves supporting compliance with industry standards, including food safety certifications and federal, state, and local regulations such as adult beverage laws. Collaboration with vendors, maintaining stock reliability and presentation, and supporting guest service duties like cashier backup and online order fulfillment are essential aspects of the job. The position also requires modeling and enforcing safety and security protocols, promoting inclusivity, and occasionally assuming store-level leadership duties during shifts.
Candidates interested in this role should enjoy a fast-paced, physical work environment and be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping periods.
