Job Requirements
- accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- climb up and down ladders
- scan handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- flexible work schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- ability to work in an environment that could range from 34 degrees Fahrenheit to minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit as needed
- ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present
- capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures humidity and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to drive-up carryout
- ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift shift length may vary
Job Qualifications
- must be at least 18 years of age or older
- previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- work both independently and with a team
- resolve guest questions quickly
- attention to detail and follow multistep processes
- capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
Job Duties
- deliver an exceptional guest experience providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operations prioritizing the guests needs over task
- uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage standards
- execute food & beverage processes including food deliveries replenishment straightening merchandise in-stocks routines data accuracy culling rotation cleaning signing and organizing and storing reserve product
- follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Targets policies and procedures
- use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
- work with vendors to proactively set maintain and make planned changes to salesfloor merchandise displays and to keep organized backroom space
- locate and identify damaged recalled or expired items and process according to Targets policies and procedures
- be knowledgeable about the tools products and services available in the total store and specific to your area to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- execute all federal state and local adult beverage laws as they apply to your business
- appropriately use and care for instore and personal protective equipment follow equipment control guidelines
- always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct safety and compliance
- work in a safe manner at all times comply with all safety policies best practices and training report hazards and correct where possible
- support guest services such as back-up cashier order pick up OPU and drive-up DU and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties such as compliance with federal state and and local laws
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- thank guests and let them know were happy they chose to shop at Target
- all other duties based on business needs
