Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant or customer service experience
  • Must possess strong leadership and people management skills
  • Must be able to delegate, multi-task, lead, and prioritize effectively
  • Must maintain confidentiality and comply with legal standards
  • Must be proficient in English communication
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations
  • Must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service certification
  • Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Must comply with the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission regulations when applicable
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to exert up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant or customer service experience
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate others effectively
  • Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • Friendly and efficient service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Assists with day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage venues by ensuring the team delivers a best-in-class service to all guests while following Enterprise service standards
  • Prioritizes training and understanding of all line-level positions to maintain and elevate brand standards and guest satisfaction
  • Collaborates with venue leadership to develop and execute department initiatives that build sales, profitability, and cost control
  • Ensures communication and execution of department-wide fiscal and operational goals
  • Meets and maintains safety and health requirements according to applicable codes
  • Tracks completion of required department-wide training
  • Ensures food is served in a healthy, safe, and timely manner
  • Determines materials, equipment, and facilities needed for efficient operations
  • Ensures cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of the workspace and adjacent areas
  • Ensures safety and security standards are in place and followed
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department
  • Conducts interviewing, hiring, and training of employees
  • Plans, assigns, reviews, and directs work
  • Evaluates and appraises employee performance
  • Rewards and disciplines employees
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for key roles
