Job Description
We are a reputable hotel committed to providing exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests. Our establishment prides itself on delivering outstanding food and beverage services, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. As part of our dedication to excellence, we maintain high standards in all aspects of our food and beverage department, from the quality of the cuisine to the professionalism of our staff. Our food and beverage services include a variety of dining options ranging from casual to fine dining, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and guest satisfaction. We are committed to upholding brand standards and complying with local and national food safety regulations to provide a secure and enjoyable environment for both our guests and associates.
We are currently seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position that requires dedication to maintaining excellent guest service and overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant and food and beverage department. The Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a crucial role in the seamless functioning of the service areas by supervising staff, managing opening and closing procedures, and ensuring that all food and beverage operations run smoothly in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager or Director. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in a hotel, chain food, or retail setting, and must possess a Food Manager certification. This role demands a person of integrity, reliability, and professionalism, as associates have access to guestrooms and property, requiring the highest standards of honesty and trustworthiness.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for training associates according to operational guidelines, promoting teamwork, and maintaining a professional and cohesive team environment. The role includes managing shift operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, assisting with inventory and ordering processes, and supporting banquet functions through coordination with sales and kitchen staff. A strong knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and the ability to perform various front of house and back of house duties such as cooking, serving, bartending, and cleaning are essential. This position demands excellent multitasking skills, effective communication with guests and associates, and the ability to resolve guest issues with professionalism and a hospitable attitude. The supervisor is also tasked with administrative duties including scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring safety and security practices are adhered to at all times.
This role requires standing and walking for long periods, occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds unassisted, and the willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. While the position requires a physical presence at the hotel, it offers opportunities for growth within our organization, with potential advancement to Food and Beverage Manager. Working within our team means embracing our commitment to high-quality service, continuous improvement, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and staff. If you are passionate about food and beverage service, skilled in leadership, and eager to contribute to a thriving hospitality environment, we invite you to apply for this exciting supervisory opportunity.
