Key responsibilities include supervising meal service, managing beverage distribution including alcoholic drinks with a focus on regulatory compliance regarding age verification, handling guest orders through point-of-sale systems, monitoring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of service areas. The supervisor will also enforce company policies to ensure safety and operational consistency.

This position pays an hourly wage of $17.00 and requires a commitment to excellent attendance and availability to work scheduled events according to business needs. Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in restaurant or catering environment
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit as required by law
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, event-driven settings
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Basic math skills for cash and transaction handling
  • Ability to manage and supervise staff
  • Ability to recognize and manage intoxicated guests
  • Must be available to work scheduled events
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee meal service to guests or guide guests through the buffet line as needed
  • Supervise beverage service, including alcoholic beverages, and verify guest identification to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements
  • Assist with recording guest orders and entering them into the kitchen through the POS system
  • Monitor guest tables to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed
  • Calculate meal totals, present checks to guests, process payments, and provide change when necessary
  • Ensure tableware and linens are replaced and maintained as needed throughout service
  • Recommend menu items, describe ingredients, and explain preparation methods to enhance the guest dining experience
  • Supervise the setup of banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
  • Assure that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event
  • Recognize guests that are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol to such individuals
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Assist management team with projects including training, inventory, and special events
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
