The Food & Beverage Supervisor role at Oak View Group is vital to maintaining the company’s high standards of service within the food and hospitality operations of the Pasadena Convention Center. This position is designed for a dynamic individual responsible for directly supervising food and beverage staff to ensure guests receive top-tier service. The supervisor will monitor and support servers who provide a variety of food and beverage offerings ranging from pre-made snacks to fresh-to-order entrees, delivering service through various formats including take-away, restaurant-style, or in-seat service.
Key responsibilities for this role include assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities to team leads, and ensuring that service areas including kiosks, mobile stands, permanent fixtures, cafes, and bistros operate smoothly during events. A critical component of the position involves enforcing the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards to guarantee guest safety and satisfaction. The supervisor also plays a key role in responsible alcohol service and managing monetary transactions in alignment with Sodexo Live!’s rigorous standards.
This role demands strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills to manage a fast-paced, high-stress environment efficiently. The Food & Beverage Supervisor actively plans event setups, supervises service during events, and organizes post-event closing and cleanup, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish.
The position offers competitive compensation with an hourly rate ranging from $26.00 to $31.00. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a food preparation position
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced foodservice facility preferred
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
