Job Requirements

  • Must be able to remain professional in all guests or employee interactions
  • Ability to think creatively to resolve customer complaints minimizing financial impact
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and dependability based on hotel needs
  • Required to regularly lift 20-40 pounds
  • Ability to work in varied and fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least a high school education
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification required
  • Current food handler’s card and TIPS card
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Professionalism in guest and employee interactions
  • Ability to work as a productive team member
  • Ability to perform duties safely

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing the staff
  • Ensure a high standard of food presentation and timely service
  • Oversee training of new employees
  • Assign and coordinate work of employees to promote operational efficiency
  • Supervise serving of meals and beverages ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Inspect food and beverage areas and equipment for cleanliness and sanitary conditions
  • Maintain cash bank
  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations by responding promptly to needs, soliciting feedback, and meeting service commitments
  • Directly supervise employees in the Restaurant Departments and carry out supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and laws
  • Complete all opening and closing tasks for the restaurant
