The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, formerly known as the Millennium Hotel, is a well-established full-service hotel located in a prime scenic area on the shores of Lake Spenard in Anchorage, Alaska. This hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay with 248 rooms, three distinguished food and beverage outlets, and proximity to major local attractions such as Anchorage International Airport just a mile away and downtown Anchorage four miles from the property. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is currently seeking a full-time seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service on the hotel premises. The Food & Beverage Supervisor works closely with the Food & Beverage department and is expected to perform various roles on the floor including food runner, host, server, expediter, and bartender, all while managing the daily operations and staff interactions. This position demands a hands-on approach to supervising and supporting the team, managing guest interactions including addressing complaints, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of service during shifts. The role requires the ability to uphold exceptional service standards, mentor new employees, and maintain the cleanliness and sanitary environment of the dining areas and equipment.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor plays an integral role in managing employee workflow, training, and motivating staff to deliver excellent service consistently. Job Qualifications
- At least a high school education
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to obtain TIPS certification required
- Current food handler’s card and TIPS card
- Exceptional customer service skills

Job Duties
- Assist in managing the staff
- Ensure a high standard of food presentation and timely service
- Oversee training of new employees
- Assign and coordinate work of employees to promote operational efficiency
- Supervise serving of meals and beverages ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Inspect food and beverage areas and equipment for cleanliness and sanitary conditions
- Maintain cash bank
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations by responding promptly to needs, soliciting feedback, and meeting service commitments
- Directly supervise employees in the Restaurant Departments and carry out supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and laws
- Complete all opening and closing tasks for the restaurant
