The position available is focused on enhancing guest experiences by supervising wait staff in a specific outlet within Horseshoe Casino Hammond. This role also doubles as a Dual Rate VIP Coordinator and Food and Beverage (F&B) Host-Hostess, where the individual will ensure superior customer service. This supervisory role requires oversight of bartending and serving staff, managing staffing levels, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be integral in delivering a gaming and dining experience that differentiates Caesars from its competitors, where guests can enjoy themselves without apology.
This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of restaurant operations, menu offerings, and beverage knowledge, including wine presentation. It involves conducting staff meetings, training new employees, handling guest concerns promptly, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and mandates compliance with state alcohol service regulations and gaming commission licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will be 21 years or older, fluent in English, and have prior supervisory experience in the hospitality or gaming industry.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Proficient in English verbal and written
- Equivalent to a high school diploma with some knowledge of restaurant operations and serving
- 2-3 years supervisory experience is preferred
- Must be able to serve alcohol in the state of Indiana
- Must obtain/maintain an Indiana Liquor License, as required
- Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable
- Access to the vessel is required
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach repetitively
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods
- Ability to work in a crowded, smoking, and loud environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise all employees engaged in bartending and serving for a specific outlet
- Review manifest and staffing levels to determine appropriate work assignments for the staff
- Check with Cooks to determine menu changes, substitutions or deletions for the day, and notify staff
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints or concerns in accordance with standard procedures
- Monitor silverware and plate status and order items as needed with budget constrictions taken into account
- Develop schedules to reflect staffing levels needed to give optimal guest service
- Check out restaurant cashiers, cocktail servers or other employees with cash drawers to ensure cash balances
- Train new employees and update all employees on new procedures or policies
- Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items as needed
- Coach and counsel all employees when needed to reinforce department and company policy and procedures
- Maintain a well-informed shift by conducting daily shift meetings
- Department walkthroughs are done on a daily basis to assure cleanliness and all equipment is operational
- Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with guests and co-workers
- Have a basic menu, liquor and wine knowledge
- Be able to suggest and present wine tableside
- Responsible for greeting, seating, and reservations per standards set by department
- Assist all staff members to ensure complete guest satisfaction
- Assist in all guest service area and public relations, dissatisfied guests and special requests
- Follow all safety procedures
- maintain work area for a clean and safe environment
