The role of a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Boyd Gaming involves supervising and coordinating the activities of workers across all food and beverage outlets that are operational during the assigned shift. This position is crucial in ensuring that all aspects of the employee workflow, customer service, and operation standards are maintained at the highest level throughout the shift. The supervisor will manage daily work schedules and breaks, monitor staff performance, and guarantee that service standards are consistently met to provide guests with exemplary service. They are responsible for engaging with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, overseeing service operations, and ensuring proper opening and closing procedures of beverage shifts are adhered to. Additionally, the supervisor will handle inventory requisitions, monitor employee compliance with company policies, and coordinate cleaning and repair efforts within the beverage outlets. A key part of the role is also to address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, making sure that the guest experience remains positive and memorable. The supervisor must be proactive in managing staffing issues by correcting any deviations from standards and assisting in performance evaluations and counseling when necessary. Administrative and reporting duties related to shift activities also form a part of the job responsibilities. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Associate's degree in a related field or one year of related experience preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties
- Maintain daily employee work station and break schedules
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to customers
- Monitor employee compliance with established service standards
- Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Oversee the service operation of restaurant during assigned shift
- Ensure beverage shift operations are opened and closed properly and on time
- Ensure all employees are on time, in proper uniform and following correct service procedures by correcting deficiencies or discrepancies as they occur
- Resolve guest complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Requisition and maintain control of all inventories
- Monitor employee job performance to ensure the adherence to all policies and procedures
- make recommendations and/or assist in the preparation of performance evaluations and counseling actions
- Coordinate cleaning and repairs of beverage outlets
- Perform related administrative and reporting duties
