About: The Food & Beverage Supervisor role is a critical leadership position within a dynamic food and beverage operation. This role involves managing all aspects of food and beverage services at a specific location, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of various programs related to food and beverage preparation, handling, and service. The supervisor will be responsible for managing cost of goods sold (COGS), reducing waste and misuse, and ensuring practices such as FIFO (first in, first out) and proper storage (day dots) are implemented rigorously. Additionally, the supervisor must have the ability to execute and exceed local Board of Health guidelines and cleanliness standards, emphasizing sanitation and safety.

Related responsibilities include the training, coaching, and engagement of food and beverage team members to foster a productive work environment and deliver consistent service quality. The supervisor will support the Food & Beverage Manager in ordering products and supplies, maintain equipment, and use company software for inventory, ordering, timekeeping, and logging activities.

Candidates for this role should have a minimum of one year of leadership experience and food and beverage sector experience, along with certifications such as TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, and Allergen certification. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and occupational safety practices is required. The ability to communicate effectively and utilize various computer software applications is essential to streamline operations.

This position requires a minimum education level of a high school diploma or equivalent. Physically, the role demands the capability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Duties

  • Ensure execution of all food and beverage service programs including proper ordering, planning, product handling, and display
  • Meet and/or maintain cost of goods sold (COGS), waste, and misuse by following set systems in place
  • Execute food and beverage service efficiencies such as day dots, FIFO, cooking oil maintenance, cleanliness
  • Support the F&B Manager with inventory and ordering of products and supplies and ensure routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities
  • Execute the training, coaching, and performance management of food and beverage service Team Members including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, Team Member engagement and performance management
  • Utilize company software and programs for ordering, inventory, time keeping, and logs
  • Execute and exceed local Board of Health Guidelines and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure knowledge of and adherence to all safety standards and Company Food and Beverage Best Practices
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly checklists are utilized and followed up on
  • Perform other duties as assigned
