The Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a critical role within this dynamic environment, overseeing the daily operations of food and beverage outlets at the hotel. This position is vital to maintaining high guest satisfaction by ensuring seamless service, effective team management, and the achievement of revenue targets. The Supervisor plans and seeks new business opportunities to drive revenue growth while managing costs efficiently to maximize profitability. Additionally, the role demands close collaboration with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to monitor and control financial performance and resource allocation.
Working typically between 31 to 40 hours per week, including weekend and evening shifts, the Food and Beverage Supervisor ensures that all outlets operate smoothly while adhering to company policies and safety protocols. Training and mentoring Food and Beverage Associates is a key responsibility, promoting growth within the company culture. The Supervisor is also responsible for enforcing performance standards and providing guidance to staff, contributing to a cohesive and motivated team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in food and beverage supervision or management
- Ability to work 31-40 hours per week including weekends and evenings
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs
- Ability to stand, sit, and move during events
- Flexible work schedule
- Must adhere to company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- A degree in hospitality management with a concentration in food and beverage or equivalent work-related experience is preferred
- Bistro experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cost control and operational best practices in food and beverage
Job Duties
- Advocate service excellence and teamwork to meet and exceed guest satisfaction benchmarks for franchisee and SHG business model standards
- Manage food and beverage outlets including restaurant and catering operations
- Assess and understand local market trends and actively solicit new business to increase revenues in all areas of food and beverage
- Report and record all activities regarding revenues and cost controls in collaboration with Assistant General Manager and General Manager
- Train and mentor food and beverage associates for growth and development within the company's values and culture
- Work with General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure adequate resource planning and staffing
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and enforce company safety and security policies
- Record and maintain all required customer, associate, vendor, and company reports
- Conduct cost control for food and beverage operations
- Attend daily operational meetings and complete brand-required training
- Perform additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned
