Job Description

Hyatt Regency Columbus is a distinguished hotel located within walking distance of the Nationwide Arena and the vibrant Arena District in downtown Columbus. As a premier hotel, it offers 633 renovated guest rooms, spacious suites, and an impressive 70,000 square feet of adaptable meeting space. Hyatt Regency Columbus prides itself on being connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and situated just steps away from the cultural Short North Arts District, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is known for redefining the modern hotel experience by blending comfort, convenience, and style seamlessly to cater to diverse clientele. Guests can expect an exceptional stay characterized by Hyatt’s signature hospitality and a wide array of amenities tailored to enhance their visit.

The role open at Hyatt Regency Columbus is that of a Food and Beverage Outlets Supervisor, offering hourly pay at $19. This position plays a critical part in supporting the hotel’s food and beverage operations across three key outlets: Market Stand Café, Perks Coffee Shop, and Big Bar on 2. As a Food and Beverage Outlets Supervisor, you will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, coaching, and managing cash handling procedures. This role requires you to act as a liaison between the culinary team and front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth communication and efficient service delivery.

The supervisor will provide direct leadership and mentorship to a team of more than 10 colleagues, fostering Hyatt’s service standards and operational policies. You will gain experience in financial management aspects concerning food, labor, and operating costs, allowing you to develop a well-rounded understanding of the business. Exceptional food and beverage knowledge is essential, along with a commitment to upholding Hyatt values such as empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing.

Additionally, the role demands maintaining high communication and coordination levels with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience. Managing guest complaints effectively and timely is a key responsibility, underscoring the importance of customer service excellence. The supervisor will also be tasked with ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet customer service goals and supporting team motivation and development. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and potential holidays, given the nature of the hospitality industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with leadership abilities, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality service to grow their careers within a globally respected brand. The Hyatt Regency Columbus fosters a supportive and engaging work environment with a strong focus on employee wellbeing, community involvement, and professional development. Joining Hyatt means becoming part of a family that values people first and provides extensive benefits, including complimentary hotel nights, discount offers, healthcare coverage options, and learning opportunities. If you are enthusiastic, creative, and ready to inspire a team while delivering extraordinary guest experiences, this Food and Beverage Outlets Supervisor role presents a rewarding career path in the hospitality sector.
