This landmark hotel, originally established in 1926, has been meticulously restored to its former splendor and reopens shortly at a familiar location just two blocks away from Worth Avenue. The Vineta embodies the elegant and artistic life characteristic of Palm Beach, a destination famed for its vibrant restaurant scene, designer boutiques, and noteworthy galleries. It stands as an architectural gem, featuring the beautiful Mediterranean Revival style architecture that is seen throughout the area.

The role of Food & Beverage Supervisor at The Vineta Hotel is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurants and pool areas. This supervisor ensures the highest standards of guest service, safety, and cleanliness to create exceptional dining experiences. The position involves managing and guiding the service team, including servers, hostesses, and bussers, maintaining optimal staffing levels, and fostering effective teamwork. In addition to operational oversight, the supervisor upholds all health and safety regulations, handles guest feedback professionally, and enforces pool safety protocols.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time of application
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for the position

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of hotel standards of service
  • College degree in Food and Beverage Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English other languages considered an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days evenings overnights weekends and holidays
  • Passionate for food and beverages strives to exceed expectations for service excellence with demonstrated understanding of international fine dining wine beverage and service standards commensurate of the leading hotels in the world
  • Outstanding abilities to build and maintain relationships and a regular client base demonstrated ability to make a naturally positive lasting impression brilliant at recognizing and welcoming regular guests
  • Strong leadership skills with extensive experience in high-end hospitality keen business acumen and a passion for delivering a world-class dining experience
  • Knowledgeable of P&L budgeting forecasting productivity analysis labor costing purchasing inventory management controls techniques
  • Must be able to reach bend balance and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly during a shift

Job Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the restaurant and pool area to ensure high-quality food service guest satisfaction cleanliness comfort and enjoyment
  • Greet and interact with guests in both the restaurant and pool areas ensuring a seamless and positive experience for guests creating a welcoming atmosphere at all times
  • Oversee and assist with the coordination of restaurant pool and room service hoteliers servers hostesses bussers ensuring proper hotelier staffing levels training and effective teamwork
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations including food handling hygiene sanitation and cleanliness ensuring all restaurant and pool areas including the pool lounge chairs towels and surrounding areas are clean organized and presentable at all times
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally ensuring a positive experience
  • Enforce pool safety regulations monitor pool activity and address any safety concerns or emergencies immediately
  • Manage guest interactions in the restaurant and pool area providing exceptional customer service and attending to guest requests
