Job Description
This esteemed hospitality organization operates within the hotel industry, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its dedicated Food and Beverage services. With a commitment to excellence, the company prioritizes top-quality service, ambiance, and culinary offerings to create memorable dining experiences for guests. The establishment fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment emphasizing teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement, supporting its staff to excel and grow within the hospitality sector. The company is committed to operating with integrity, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and employment regulations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for diverse clientele and employees alike.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor role is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing multiple dining areas or In-Room Dining operations within the hotel. This role is typically a floating position, shifting focus across various outlets rather than being assigned to a single restaurant. The Supervisor plays a critical leadership role by mentoring lead personnel, ensuring that guest service standards consistently exceed expectations. This involves direct supervision of subordinate leaders, conducting recruitment and training, scheduling, and managing performance evaluations such as merit increases and promotions.
Additionally, the supervisor is entrusted with maintaining operational standards including food presentation, service quality, and cleanliness. Ensuring compliance with all food safety and beverage regulations is a key component, alongside inventory management, cost control, and profitability objectives. The role requires adept use of corporate computer systems to analyze financial reports, forecast revenues, and strategically manage labor and supply costs. Handling guest concerns promptly to preserve satisfaction and coordinating with security for safety issues also form essential responsibilities.
This position demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple duties simultaneously in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment. The supervisor must exhibit excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor while fostering a positive work atmosphere. This role requires a minimum of one to two years of relevant food and beverage experience within a hotel context, with prior supervisory experience preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol and must complete essential certifications such as TIPS and obtain a Food Handlers Card upon employment. The role emphasizes safety compliance, including adherence to Hazardous Material protocols and use of personal protective equipment. Overall, the Food and Beverage Supervisor ensures that every guest receives outstanding and consistent service, contributing significantly to the hotel’s reputation for excellence in hospitality.
