Job Description

This property is a distinguished hospitality establishment featuring 198 well-appointed rooms and nearly 9,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space. As a beachfront oasis, it offers guests breathtaking ocean views, direct access to the beach, and a range of upscale amenities that include an acclaimed restaurant and bar, outdoor meeting venues, a fully equipped fitness center, a stylish rooftop lounge, and an inviting outdoor pool. Its prime location just steps from Doheny State Beach and minutes from the I-5 freeway provides guests with convenient access to Dana Point Harbor's vibrant shopping and dining scenes, as well as the broader Southern California attractions. This pet-friendly venue uniquely combines coastal charm with modern conveniences to create an engaging environment both for visitors and the professionals who serve them.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor role at this bustling resort-style hotel is a critical position designed for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in dynamic, client-driven environments. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and maintaining a dotted line reporting relationship with the Executive Chef, this position plays a central role in managing all facets of the hotel’s food and beverage operations. These include the flagship restaurant, bars, banquet services, catering functions, and in-room dining offerings. The role requires a proactive approach to driving guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and team leadership, ensuring all outlets deliver service that aligns with the property's brand standards.

In this supervisory capacity, the individual will oversee daily operational activities, collaborate on menu development and outlet concepts, and ensure the timely execution of service standards. The position demands hands-on involvement in inventory management, financial oversight, event coordination, and compliance with regulatory standards related to food safety and alcohol service. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as the supervisor must partner effectively with culinary teams, sales and events staff, and front-of-house personnel to foster a seamless guest experience.

The supervisor will also focus on team development by training new hires, setting performance expectations, and encouraging a positive work environment rooted in teamwork and accountability. This role offers the opportunity to bridge resort lifestyle with operational leadership while contributing to a brand that values quality, innovation, and guest engagement. Pay ranges from $19.75 to $28.00 per hour, reflecting experience and the skill set brought to this multifaceted role. Candidates must be flexible to accommodate various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight hours, due to the round-the-clock nature of food and beverage services. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned food and beverage professional passionate about hospitality and guest service excellence in a resort-adjacent setting.
