Job Description
ATG (Ambassador Theatre Group) is a world-renowned live entertainment company known for delivering exceptional experiences in music, theatre, comedy, and more. Established in 1992, ATG has grown into a global leader in live entertainment, operating 50 iconic venues across North America, the United Kingdom, and Germany. The company hosts over 10 million people annually at its venues and is recognized for critically acclaimed productions, which have earned more than 80 Tony and Olivier Awards. ATG also operates popular theatre ticketing platforms serving millions of customers worldwide. The organization emphasizes core values such as passion, intelligence, collaboration, and ambition, fostering an environment where its thousands of employees contribute to creating unforgettable entertainment experiences.
The Food and Beverage Supervisor role at the San Antonio venue is a part-time position requiring availability during weekends, holidays, evenings, days, and late nights. The hourly compensation is $18. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, this supervisory role encompasses overseeing concessions operations across multiple bars and concession areas in a venue with a total capacity exceeding 6,000 across three levels. The supervisor ensures that the team is correctly positioned, work areas are prepared according to standards, and all uniform and conduct policies are strictly followed. Responsibilities involve supervising bar and concession staff, conducting end-of-shift checks to verify cleanliness and stocking, maintaining storage compliance, and managing critical facilities such as ice machines and specialty upgrade experiences including ambassador lounges and suite lounges.
This position requires hands-on management to ensure high service quality, heightened speed of service, improved sales per customer, and elevated staff morale. The role demands physical stamina, including standing, walking throughout the venue, and lifting over 50 pounds. The supervisor interacts frequently with guests, enforcing standards that prohibit inappropriate behaviors such as gum chewing, phone usage during shifts, and eating in public areas. Success in this position depends on excellent guest relations skills, strong teamwork across departments, leadership, time management, and stress flexibility.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in theatre or food and beverage operations and must complete Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) and Texas Food Handlers Certifications. This role offers the chance to contribute to the dynamic environment of live entertainment and be part of an organization committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. ATG promotes a welcoming workplace where employees can express their authentic selves and help present compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. Join ATG's team and seize the opportunity to impact the live entertainment landscape while developing your career in a vibrant, inclusive environment.
