Job Description
Woven Seafood & Chophouse is a distinguished dining establishment located in Tacoma, Washington. Conceptualized by Roy Yamaguchi, a renowned Hawaiian restaurateur credited with creating Hawaiian fusion cuisine, Woven aims to deliver a unique culinary experience that blends elements of Puyallup, Hawaiian, and Japanese cultures. The restaurant’s design and menu are thoughtfully intertwined to reflect these cultural influences, offering a modern and innovative approach to steak and seafood dishes. Located on the picturesque Ruston Way, Woven provides not only exquisite food but also an inviting atmosphere that fosters connection and community among guests.
Woven operates under the management expertise of Columbia Hospitality, Inc., a global hospitality company with more than 25 years of experience delivering exceptional experiences across a diverse portfolio that includes award-winning hotels, restaurants, golf clubs, conference centers, and residential communities. Columbia Hospitality prides itself on fostering an inclusive, values-driven culture focused on accountability, creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect. Their commitment to their people and the communities they serve has earned them accolades as one of the top employers in Washington State.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor position at Woven Seafood & Chophouse is a part-time role offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $24 to $26, depending on experience. This role is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals passionate about fostering a welcoming and efficient food and beverage environment while growing their careers within a dynamic team. In this supervisory capacity, the individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets at Woven, ensuring that service standards and operational efficiency meet the highest expectations.
This role requires the supervision, motivation, and training of food and beverage personnel, along with active involvement in service delivery including order taking, serving, and assisting with wine service—preferences are given to candidates with International Sommeliers Guild Wine Fundamentals certification. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, maintaining accurate inventory records, managing guest relations, administering state liquor laws, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
Employees in this role can expect a range of benefits including paid time off, holiday pay, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401K plans, as well as HSA/FSA plans with employer contributions. Additional perks include daily pay options, discounted lodging, dining, spa, golf, and retail opportunities, an employee assistance program, and access to various committees and task forces designed to promote career growth and community engagement.
Columbia Hospitality embraces diversity and authentic inclusion in their recruitment process and encourages candidates who may not meet every requirement but are excited about the role to apply. This philosophy ensures a rich, collaborative work culture at Woven where every team member contributes to creating exceptional experiences for guests and each other.
