As part of the globally recognized Marriott International portfolio, this hotel prides itself on delivering the highest standards of hospitality, comfort, and convenience. The location boasts state-of-the-art facilities, modern amenities, and a convenient setting close to major business hubs, cultural attractions, and educational institutions. Marriott International is a leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and an inspiring work culture that values diversity, inclusion, and career development opportunities for associates. Joining the Boston Marriott Cambridge means becoming part of a prestigious network of hotels trusted by millions of guests worldwide. This is a full-time, non-management position offering a competitive pay range of $32.90 per hour. The role requires the candidate to be on-site and is not remote-based.

The position focuses on ensuring a seamless and superior guest experience through excellent teamwork, staff supervision, and operational efficiency within the food and beverage services at the hotel. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate ensures that all staff members work harmoniously to provide optimum guest service, while rigorously adhering to company grooming and uniform standards. Responsibilities include inspecting storage areas for cleanliness and organization using industry best practices such as FIFO (First In, First Out), performing opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and cleaning equipment, and monitoring dining rooms to manage seating availability and guest safety.

Further, this role requires assisting management with important human resources functions like hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating team members. The position underscores a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality, with a focus on supporting a positive and productive work environment that encourages collaboration and mutual respect among staff. The associate also ensures compliance with all safety and security protocols, promptly reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions.

This role involves direct interaction with guests, reflecting Marriott's commitment to welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation for their patronage. The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and handle materials up to 50 pounds independently. It also involves visual inspections of equipment and adherence to quality and safety standards. Employees in this position will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing methods to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have at least two years of related work experience, including a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity. This position does not require any specific licenses or certifications, allowing a broad range of individuals with relevant experience to apply. Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where all associates are valued and celebrated for their unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences. This commitment extends to prohibiting discrimination on any protected basis and ensuring all team members have access to growth and development opportunities.
