The Food & Beverage Supervisor role at Stonebridge, located in Walnut Creek, California, represents a key position responsible for overseeing the restaurant and bar operations within one of the company’s hotel properties. This full-time, exempt supervisor role reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and supervises Food & Beverage Team Members. With a pay range of $22 to $24 per hour, the position demands both leadership acumen and operational expertise. The supervisor is tasked with maintaining high standards of service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly liquor laws, and enhancing guest satisfaction through efficient and courteous service delivery.

This role involves managing critical aspects of food and beverage operations, including cost control, inventory management, staff supervision, and the day-to-day running of both restaurant and bar services. The supervisor ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of the service areas, the appropriate presentation of tables and decor, and oversees room service to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of orders. Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage operations or supervisory role
  • Proficient with POS systems and inventory management
  • Knowledgeable about food hygiene regulations and liquor laws
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capability to work under pressure and manage diverse tasks

Job Duties

  • Ensure prompt and efficient service of meals, snacks, and beverages to required standards
  • Maintain profit margins by managing costs through sales analysis, menu costing, and cash handling procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant and bar, including table setups and flower arrangements
  • Supervise food and beverage associates, ensuring they are well-groomed, professionally dressed, and provide courteous service
  • Manage bartenders and room service staff, ensuring they are trained and meet service standards
  • Oversee room service orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Manage ordering, storing, and issuing of goods, maintaining security and adherence to stock requirements
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure high service quality
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure ongoing staff development
  • Circulate throughout the restaurant and bar, maintaining visibility with guests and staff
  • Conduct regular staff training and stay informed about industry trends for continuous improvement
