The position available is Food and Beverage Supervisor at the Courtyard Seattle Kirkland location. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for food, hospitality, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. The primary responsibility of the Food and Beverage Supervisor is to ensure guests enjoy a high-quality dining experience that supports their comfort and productivity while away from home. This involves fostering a hospitable and attentive environment that promotes guest loyalty through exceptional service. Supervisors in this role will be integral in training, coaching, and mentoring teams to provide efficient and personalized restaurant and room service support. The position emphasizes proactive guest engagement, problem solving, and maintaining rigorous food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Employees in this role will engage directly with customers, encouraging feedback to continuously improve the dining experience. They will also oversee inventory control, food and beverage deliveries, cash procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure smooth operation of the food and beverage department. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food handling experience required
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler's Permit and Alcohol Server's Permit
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and move for entire shift
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food handling experience
  • Previous server or lead server experience
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit
  • Ability to obtain an Alcohol Server's Permit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, type and use basic technology
  • Ability to stand and move around for entire shift
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist with training, coaching, mentoring and scheduling
  • Support employees in the restaurant and room service to ensure guests are receiving attentive and efficient service
  • Proactively engage in conversation with guests, seeking feedback about their stay and their dining experience
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues or complaints to their satisfaction
  • Monitor all food and beverage deliveries for portion control, quality and presentation
  • Ensure that food handling and safety guidelines are followed, including kitchen logs
  • Monitor key control and cash control procedures to ensure standards of operating are met
  • Oversee inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
