Job Requirements

  • minimum 21 years of age
  • completion of orientation and safety trainings
  • additional trainings as assigned
  • gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission
  • RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino
  • food handler's permit from a relevant government agency
  • must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino
  • valid state issued driver's license
  • ability to stand for extended periods up to eight hours
  • ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds
  • ability to work in various environmental conditions including extreme heat, cold, and exposure to chemicals and tobacco smoke

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
  • two years specialized experience in the food services industry
  • knowledge of computers in a Windows environment
  • experience with point of sale (POS) systems
  • previous customer service experience
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting bar graphs
  • reasoning ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • provides consistent, attentive and friendly service to guests
  • determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • issues written and oral instructions in a timely manner
  • assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • addresses and resolves any problems during assigned shift such as customer complaints and employee problems
  • maintains a hospitable and team atmosphere with fellow staff
  • sells alcoholic beverages and food to guests following RBS guidelines
