Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years restaurant/bar experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remain calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Self-driven and passionate
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must hold valid authorization to work in the US
  • Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required

Job Duties

  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations ensuring compliance with company standards and health regulations
  • Train mentor and motivate staff to deliver excellent service and improve performance
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient operations
  • Adhere and uphold Fairmont Olympic Hotel service standards
  • Strive to create a memorable experience and turn moments into memories for guests
  • Participate in staff trainings and product knowledge development
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties
  • Cover shifts of colleagues as needed
  • Suggest coaching and disciplinary action for colleagues
  • Ensure cleanliness health and safety protocols and EHC standards are always met
  • Conduct daily briefings and motivate colleagues
  • Resolve service and product guest recoveries following standard procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Outlets including administrative duties and assisting in all aspects of the operation
