As part of this dynamic hospitality environment, the position of Food & Beverage Supervisor is a critical role responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and upholding high operational standards within both restaurant and banquet settings.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading and supervising the restaurant and banquet teams, contributing directly to a positive dining experience for hotel guests. This role demands a hands-on approach to daily restaurant and banquet operations, including organizing meeting spaces, maintaining cleanliness and setup of function rooms, and collaborating closely with sales and clients to enhance guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business. The position is hourly, offering $20.00 per hour plus tips, reflecting the value placed on quality service and team leadership.

Further Responsibilities include overseeing food and beverage outlets to meet brand standards, managing inventory and food cost controls, creating requisitions and menus to ensure consistent quality, and tailoring services to meet special customer requirements. Leadership and employee engagement are also key facets of the position, requiring communication of performance expectations, delivering feedback, coaching, and fostering a motivated, service-oriented team.

Job Duties

  • Supervising and assisting in setting up furniture, seating and equipment
  • ensuring that floors, walls and equipment are clean in function rooms
  • contributing to the general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas
  • storing all banquet furniture and equipment properly in designated areas following an event
  • ensuring proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • setting lighting and temperature to comfortable levels
  • working closely with Sales and clients to maximize guest satisfaction and repeat business
  • supervising food and beverage outlets and banquets to hotel specifications and brand standards
  • completing and maintaining inventory count to ensure food cost control and profitability
  • creating food and beverage requisitions to meet estimated demand
  • creating menus and recipes to standardize food preparation and ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • coordinating servicing special customer requirements along with the creation of specials and menus
  • communicating performance expectations and providing employees with on-going feedback
  • providing employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
  • giving personal attention and using teamwork when providing guest service
  • listening, apologizing with empathy, finding a solution, and following through when resolving guest problems
  • providing genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • assuming responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and using best judgment as to when to use 100 percent Guest Satisfaction
  • performing other duties as required by Management to provide 100 percent Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to guests
