Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age (bakery only)
- ability to handle cash register operations accurately
- climbing ladders
- ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 44 pounds
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with reliable prompt attendance
- ability to work in environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F
- ability to work in areas with common allergens
- capability to work in varied temperature and humidity conditions including Drive-Up and carryout duties
- ability to remain mobile during the entirety of a scheduled shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
- effective communication skills
- ability to operate handheld scanners and multiple frequency devices
- strong guest service and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety standards beneficial
Job Duties
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and full shopping experience
- uphold and maintain execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
- execute processes including food deliveries, replenishment, merchandise straightening, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve product
- follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target's policies
- use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and boost sales
- collaborate with vendors to set up and maintain salesfloor merchandise displays and organized backroom space
- locate and handle damaged, recalled, or expired items according to policy
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
- work safely and report hazards
- support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up while maintaining compliance with applicable laws
- engage guests with welcoming communication and solve their needs
- thank guests and promote positive shopping experiences
- perform all other duties based on business needs
