Job Description
Our client is a distinguished independent boutique hotel situated in the vibrant Raleigh area, celebrated for its warm and genuine hospitality that fosters a strong sense of community. This boutique hotel distinguishes itself through personalized guest experiences, intimate atmosphere, and a commitment to excellence in service across all facets of its operation. While the property's name is kept confidential during the initial stages of the hiring process, candidates advancing to interviews will gain full insight into this exceptional establishment. This position represents a unique opportunity for individuals who have cultivated their careers within the restaurant industry and are eager to advance into boutique hotel leadership. The transition from a food and beverage-focused role to hospitality management here offers a pathway to broader operational exposure—from dining to banquets, catering, and special events—under the seasoned mentorship of a Director of Food & Beverage. With a salary of $60,000 annually, this full-time, exempt role reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and embodies a pivotal leadership position within the hotel’s food and beverage division.
The Service Manager – Food & Beverage plays a critical role in the day-to-day management of food and beverage operations, orchestrating a seamless synergy across multiple service venues such as the restaurant, banquet halls, catering services, and event spaces. This role demands a hands-on leader who not only ensures operational excellence and adherence to health and safety standards but also prioritizes the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. A key aspect of the position involves close collaboration with senior hotel leadership to drive operational results, which includes revenue growth, cost control, guest and associate satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of product and service quality. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in food and beverage service, is proficient with operational systems, and possesses a passion for inspiring and developing team members. This leadership role demands someone who can motivate, coach, and support their staff while setting and upholding high standards of service, reflecting true ownership and pride in their work. The role offers a compelling opportunity to grow within the operational hierarchy of a boutique hotel environment, making it an excellent stepping stone for professionals seeking to expand their hospitality management career while leveraging their food and beverage expertise.
