The Food & Beverage Service Ambassador, Alcohol role at Sesame Place is a critical part of the guest service team, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a great dining experience across a variety of food and beverage venues within the park. This is a seasonal position with competitive compensation of $16.90 per hour and requires candidates to be at least 21 years old with authorization to work in the United States. This position is unique as it involves more than just bartending; Food & Beverage Service Ambassadors are stationed in restaurants, concession areas, alcohol carts, coffee shops, dessert stations, and snack booths throughout the park, helping serve food and beverages to guests while promoting a welcoming and informative environment.
Candidates will be responsible for enthusiastically greeting guests, providing detailed information about the food and beverage options, making tailored recommendations to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special needs, and processing orders efficiently. The role also includes operating point of sale systems and cash registers adhering strictly to cash-handling procedures, maintaining sales records for auditing purposes, keeping the work area clean, and assisting with carrying vending trays. Candidates must be committed to exceptional guest service, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
This position demands flexibility, as ambassadors must be available for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays with schedules that can range from zero to forty hours per week during the peak season. Successful candidates will undergo mandatory training, including Responsible Beverage Service certification, ServSafe training, and Responsible Vendor Training, to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and service standards.
