Job Description

Bobby Jones Links, established in 2000 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a respected club management and development company that specializes in serving private, resort, daily fee, and public golf courses. Known for its unwavering commitment to exceptional service, Bobby Jones Links focuses on creating outstanding experiences for its members, guests, and employees alike. At the core of the company’s mission are its guiding principles: Make People Happy, Do What You Say, Strive for Excellence, Be Driven, and Grow Every Day. These values not only shape the company culture but also drive the continued success and reputation of Bobby Jones Links in the golf industry. The company adheres to the philosophy expressed by Bobby Jones himself, "The secret of golf is to turn three shots into two," symbolizing the pursuit of excellence that defines their operations and service standards.

Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is a prominent semi-private 18-hole golf course located in the Jackson Metro area. Designed by renowned architect John F. Stahl and established in 1969, Live Oaks Golf Club is set on 130 scenic acres highlighted by majestic 200-year-old live oak trees. This par 71 course offers an excellent value for golf enthusiasts in the region. The club also features well-equipped practice facilities including a chipping green, putting green, and hitting bays.

Currently, Live Oaks Golf Club is seeking to hire Food and Beverage Servers who are passionate about delivering top-tier customer service and enhancing the member and guest experience. This role involves presenting menus, answering questions, and making menu recommendations to guests. Servers will utilize the point of sales system for order placement with the kitchen, participate in pre-meal meetings, and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any complaints promptly with the supervisor. Cash handling and ensuring the accuracy of receipts at the end of the day are critical responsibilities in this role.

Safety and hygiene are paramount; therefore, Food and Beverage Servers must incorporate safe work practices and adhere strictly to safe food handling standards. Additionally, completing side-work such as delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables, and removing debris will be vital to maintaining smooth restaurant operations.

The ideal candidates will be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, possess all necessary certifications and licenses in compliance with local Health Department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations, and be capable of enforcing company policies and legal guidelines related to alcohol consumption. The physical demands of the role require servers to be capable of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally, while working in sometimes warm and loud indoor conditions near grills and fryers.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment within the golf and hospitality industry, with a firm emphasis on service excellence and community engagement. Joining Live Oaks Golf Club as a Food and Beverage Server means becoming part of a legacy dedicated to quality, respect, and continuous growth, all under the banner of the reputable Bobby Jones Links management company.
