The role of Food & Beverage Senior Manager at Legends Global is pivotal for ensuring the professional management and execution of food and beverage services within the venue. This full-time salaried position, with a compensation of $82,000, is based at ONT Field and reports to the Director of Food & Beverage. The Senior Manager is responsible for client service, event planning, organization, and management of food and beverage operations in alignment with the company’s policies. Key responsibilities involve overseeing proposal development, strategic menu and pricing planning, inventory control, POS system management, vendor relationships, community outreach, and ensuring a superior guest experience. This role demands close communication with clients and collaboration with venue staff to fulfill all event-related needs effectively.

Additionally, the manager leads and supports the operations team, including part-time staff, contractors, and volunteers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and fulfilling contractual obligations. The position involves detailed oversight of payroll, employee scheduling, and labor management to optimize operational efficiency. The Senior Manager acts as a department leader during the absence of the Director and serves as Manager on Duty during events. They also participate in meetings concerning event and facility operations and assist in department cost analysis and reporting. Familiarity with digital content creation and integrating point of sales systems is essential, reflecting a modern approach to venue management.

This role requires flexibility, including availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as well as the physical ability to handle the demands of a busy event environment, such as extensive standing, walking, lifting, and navigating various facility areas. Candidates must possess ServSafe Manager certification or be willing to obtain it within 60 days of hire and be prepared for background and credit checks. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. Experience in arena or stadium food and beverage management is preferred, along with proficiency in Windows, MS Office, Adobe, and point of sale systems with inventory control capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Significant related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and/or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee development, delivery, review, execution and fulfillment of proposals and contracts for clients of the venue for concessions and/or catering events while adhering to Legends Global venue policies and procedures
  • Strategic planning and development of menus, menu prices, inventory control, point of sale systems, revenue streams, new business opportunities, vendor partnerships, community events/outreach and guest experiences for catering and concessions
  • Communicate with clients for status of deadline schedules, including floor plan submissions, room specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details
  • Review and work along with staff to ensure execution of all food and beverage operations through banquet event orders and contractual obligations such as insurance, deposits, setup/breakdown, staffing, contracted services, equipment orders, consumption reports and special orders
  • Manage and work along with the part time staff, contracted event staff and Non-Profit Groups in the areas of concessions and catering
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to report any deficiencies and ensure all food and beverage areas are fully operational
  • Order and maintain weekly/monthly inventory for concessions and catering events including paper goods, food product, beer, wine, alcohol, chemical/cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Monitor in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure success while addressing all client requests, concerns, and problems
  • Attend planning, organization, event and facility meetings in support of food and beverage elements for all facility operations
  • Direct and work along with staff for proper cleaning techniques and procedures to ensure passing health inspections by State and local agencies and Legends Global guidelines
  • Direct and indirect payroll processing, employee scheduling, and labor oversight, ensuring timely execution, accuracy, compliance, and optimal staffing levels
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records for pre-event planning, cost estimates, client requests, billable charges, service orders, contractual requirements and final billing accounting
  • Plan, implement and operate an integrated point of sales system, run reports, process cash and credit card sales during and after events, run settlement reports
  • Design and/or assist in the design and implementation of digital content for the venue display systems for the point of sales menu boards, meeting room display monitors and concession stand sponsor activations
  • Act as Department Manager and/or Manager on Duty for events, onsite and offsite, including banquets, backstage catering, concessions, and other activities as deemed necessary by department and facility manager
  • Assist Director of Food & Beverage to analyze and maintain department related costs and facilitate reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed
