Job Description
The Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is an exceptional dining and event destination located in Central Phoenix. Known for its beautiful golf course setting and premier hospitality, the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club combines a welcoming atmosphere with a commitment to delivering an unforgettable dining experience. The Adobe Clubhouse offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner to members and guests, catering to those who appreciate quality and exceptional service in a refined yet relaxed environment. The dining experience is complemented by a vibrant Restaurant and Market, and the venue is also a popular site for banquets and special events, providing an ideal setting for memorable gatherings.
We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the Adobe Bar & Grille’s food and beverage operations during assigned shifts. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive approach to managing daily operations, staff supervision, and delivering outstanding service quality. The ideal candidate will embody the core values of teamwork, effective communication, flexibility, integrity, and punctuality. Adobe Clubhouse staff take pride in creating a positive work environment and are committed to following internal policies and external regulations to ensure every guest interaction is pleasant and professional.
As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for directing food and beverage operations in alignment with the strategic goals set forth by Senior Management. You will develop and implement policies, operating procedures, and standards that ensure efficiency and high-quality service. The role involves supervising, mentoring, and training team members, conducting performance evaluations, and offering ongoing professional development. You will ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards through regular audits and inspections. Furthermore, you will address guest concerns promptly to uphold satisfaction and work collaboratively with other departments, especially during special events and banquets.
This role requires managing inventory and cost controls to prevent losses while maintaining sufficient supplies. Strategic scheduling duties will ensure adequate staffing levels for smooth daily operations and special functions. You will also participate in cross-training efforts within Banquets to enhance service consistency and comprehensive guest experiences. The position occasionally serves as the Manager on Duty (MOD), requiring you to oversee restaurant operations to ensure smooth and continuous service.
Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field, although a high school diploma or GED with significant experience is acceptable. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of food and beverage management experience, preferably in a golf club or resort setting, is required. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality standards. Candidates must have proficiency with POS systems and employee self-service payroll databases.
The job requires certification as a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) and completion of Arizona Title 4 Management Alcohol Training. A valid driver’s license is necessary due to the occasional use of golf carts. The role will involve standing, walking, lifting moderate weight, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes under extreme weather conditions. The noise level is moderate, and the position operates within OSHA Category II safety parameters.
The Adobe Clubhouse offers part-time employees flexible scheduling, direct deposit, free parking, paid sick leave, free golf privileges, and golf shop discounts. Full-time employees benefit from health insurance, vacation, holidays, a 401K plan with matching contributions, and all part-time benefits. The Adobe Clubhouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer and conducts background checks on candidates receiving conditional employment offers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected team committed to excellence in the food and beverage industry within a premier golf club setting.
