Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' food and beverage management experience preferably in hotels
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MICROs software
  • Current OLCC certification
  • Ability to complete Oregon SERV Safe manager course within 90 days
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to relocate to Portland, OR
  • Must be able to work in person
  • Full-time availability

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a food and beverage management role, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and staff
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations including safety and sanitation regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with food and beverage management software such as MICROs
  • Current OLCC certification
  • Ability to complete the Oregon SERV Safe manager course within 90 days of employment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets including restaurants, bars, room service, and banquet functions
  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance service quality, drive revenue, and improve operational efficiency
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies to ensure cost-effective resource management
  • Training, supervising, and evaluating food and beverage staff while fostering a positive work environment and promoting team development
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all food and beverage areas
  • Addressing guest complaints and feedback promptly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Planning menus, setting pricing, and creating promotional offers in collaboration with the culinary team
  • Conducting regular inspections of food and beverage outlets to maintain cleanliness and service standards
  • Coordinating with kitchen and banquet teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage services for events
  • Preparing budgets, financial reports, and forecasts for the food and beverage department
