This position requires a keen eye on financial performance, including inventory control and labor costs, ensuring that all company policies, as well as state and local regulations, are strictly adhered to and executed efficiently. The supervisor must excel in maintaining compliance with food safety standards, including FDA, county health department, and Six Flags-specific operational policies. This role also demands oversight of liquor laws, ensuring all operations meet federal, state, and local requirements. \n\nFinancial responsibility is a key aspect of this position, with expectations to meet profit goals by closely monitoring sales, cost of goods sold, and inventory levels. The supervisor plays an active role in staff development by assisting in hiring, training, and scheduling employees to foster a motivated and capable team. Leadership capabilities are critical, as the role involves training, evaluating, and mentoring staff, including seasonal employees, preparing them for future success and growth within the company. \n\nAdditionally, this role promotes an entrepreneurial spirit by encouraging innovative recommendations aimed at increasing sales and profitability. Creating a hospitable, welcoming environment for both guests and team members is paramount. The supervisor ensures that the team consistently delivers friendly, clean, fast, and safe service in alignment with the company’s Mantra and Guest First standards. Maintaining a safe workplace and actively participating in hazard elimination contribute to a secure and efficient operational environment. The Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor may also take on Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating leadership presence across the park’s food and beverage operations. This role demands flexibility, requiring the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in various weather conditions, reflecting the dynamic nature of the theme park industry.

Job Requirements

  • Certified in safe food handling or obtain certification within 60 days
  • Two or more years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a multi-unit setting
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work up to 6 days a week including nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate in all types of weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Oversees daily operation of locations to maintain compliance with all Six Flags, Food & Beverage Operations, local County Health Department and FDA policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance of all Federal, State, and Local liquor laws
  • Works toward reaching profit goals in assigned area by closely monitoring sales, cost of goods, and inventory
  • Assists with hiring, training, developing, and scheduling department staff
  • Monitors labor expenses in assigned area and department as necessary
  • Training, following up and evaluation of staff on all levels to ensure the team is being set up for success
  • Provides on-going training and supervision for seasonal staff for future development
  • Develops and promotes an entrepreneurial spirit by making recommendations targeting increased sales and profits
  • Ensures the team has all tools necessary to functionally operate their locations
  • Provides a hospitable and welcoming environment for both guests and team members
  • Ensures all Team Members are aware of and adhere to the company Mantra of Friendly, Clean, Fast and Safe Service by meeting all Guest First standards and principles
  • Ensures all patrons receive the highest quality of product and service
  • Adheres to all department and company safety policies by maintaining a safe work environment and aiding in the elimination of hazards
  • Acts as Manager on Duty as assigned
