The position demands a hands-on approach, requiring close interaction with staff and customers during events to ensure seamless service and operations. The Food & Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and management of all staff related to concessions, food hall, and club operations. They also oversee subcontractor partnerships, ensuring agreements, expectations, and daily operations align with company standards.\n\nThis role requires in-depth bar operations knowledge to maintain efficient controls and ensure all bars are sufficiently stocked and staffed for each event. Managing labor costs and adhering to budget goals are critical components of the role, along with maintaining all food and beverage equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and compliance with city health department regulations and internal sanitation audits. This position also involves inventory control, point of sale software management, and sustaining staff uniform standards. The manager supports back-of-house teams when needed and actively collaborates with other departments within the venue to facilitate event planning and execution. The role is integral in maintaining high standards of service, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction throughout all food and beverage functions. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English

Job Qualifications

  • At least five years of management experience in a venue or multi-purpose food and beverage operation servicing concessions, bars and catering for large events
  • Minimum three years of bar operations experience in a managerial role
  • Prior experience with ordering, receiving and inventory control
  • Experience working with contract food and beverage accounts
  • Food hall or equivalent managerial experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Serve-safe certification within 90 days of employment
  • TABC commission alcohol beverage permit to be obtained within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Hiring and training staff for concessions, food hall and club operations
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work for employees and subcontractors including scheduling, tip-outs and timecard management
  • Overseeing subcontractor partnerships, agreements, expectations and daily needs
  • Managing bar operations with focus on efficiency and controls
  • Supervising part-time supervisors and staff
  • Ensuring all bars are properly stocked and staffed for events
  • Maintaining labor costs and budget goals
  • Attending internal event-related meetings
  • Maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of food and beverage equipment
  • Complying with city health department and sanitation audit regulations
  • Providing hands-on leadership with frequent interaction with staff and customers during events
  • Assisting with ordering product, equipment and maintaining uniforms
  • Controlling inventory through counting, recording and monitoring
  • Managing and troubleshooting Point of Sale software and reporting
  • Supporting back-of-house staff as needed
  • Conducting opening and closing duties of the food hall on event and non-event days
  • Collaborating with all venue departments on event planning and execution
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
