The role of Food and Beverage (F&B) Supervisor at JW Marriott is pivotal in upholding the brand’s standard of wonderful hospitality. This position involves supervising daily F&B shift operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and legal requirements. The supervisor will manage day-to-day operations, maintain the operating budget, and verify quality and service standards to meet or exceed guest expectations consistently. This role requires a balance of operational oversight with leadership skills to support staffing, foster teamwork, and facilitate open communication within the team. The supervisor also participates actively in ordering supplies, coordinating cleaning programs, and implementing monthly self-inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and functionality.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related profession
  • Or associate degree with 2 years experience in food and beverage or related area
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage daily operations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of budget management and legal compliance
  • Proficient in communication and problem solving
  • Availability to perform hourly job functions if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Two years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Strong knowledge of brand specific service culture
  • Ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Effective communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and monitors compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
  • Supports and supervises the monthly self-inspection program
  • Manages staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Provides exceptional customer service and resolves guest concerns proactively
  • Coordinates cleaning programs and recommends improvements based on trends
