Job Description
Spinx is a well-established convenience store chain known for its commitment to customer satisfaction and community involvement. Located primarily in South Carolina, Spinx has earned a reputation as one of the best places to work in the state, fostering a positive and supportive work environment where employees can thrive. The company operates a series of convenience stores that provide a wide range of services, including fuel, groceries, and food and beverage offerings. Spinx emphasizes its core motto, "Making Life Easier," which reflects its dedication to providing superior customer service and exceptional quality in every aspect of its operations.
The Food and Beverage Manager position at Spinx is a pivotal leadership role within the organization. This is a full-time opportunity that offers an average annual base salary of $50,000, paid hourly, along with an average monthly bonus of $500 and $800 in annual profit sharing. The role requires a dynamic individual who can oversee the day-to-day store operations focusing on food and beverage services, ensuring that Spinx's high standards for safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction are met consistently. As a manager, the individual will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising staff, scheduling, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and customers.
Moreover, the Food and Beverage Manager plays a critical role in driving store profitability by managing inventory control, shortage mitigation, expense monitoring, and executing marketing programs tailored to enhance customer engagement and sales. The role is highly interactive and involves hands-on training including computer-based modules for new hires, ServSafe certification, and comprehensive food and beverage as well as retail operations training lasting approximately four to six weeks each. This ensures that managers are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead their teams effectively.
In addition to operational responsibilities, this position demands strong leadership qualities to inspire the store team of three to fifteen members in providing an exceptional "Making Life Easier" customer experience. The manager must be adaptive and proactive, capable of handling a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be physically capable of handling regular lifting tasks up to 50 pounds. This leadership position requires someone who is motivated by creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting employee development and exceeding customer expectations.
Candidates for this role should bring at least two years of related food service or retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, having a valid in-state driver's license, auto insurance, and an acceptable motor vehicle report is mandatory. Achieving and maintaining the NRE certification is also required, underscoring the company’s commitment to compliance and high standards. Overall, the Food and Beverage Manager role at Spinx offers a comprehensive career path with competitive compensation, numerous benefits such as health and dental insurance, retirement plans with company match, tuition reimbursement, and a positive work culture that values growth and excellence.
