Job Description

Manthey Hospitality is recognized as Tampa Bay's premier operator of passenger vessels, boasting a diverse and extensive fleet of 14 vessels that cater to an array of aquatic experiences. With offerings that range from upscale dining cruises to practical water taxi services, Manthey Hospitality has established itself as a leader in the maritime hospitality industry within the region. The fleet includes notable branded vessels such as Yacht Starship Dining Cruises, Craft, Pirate Water Taxi, and Lost Pearl Pirate Adventure Cruises, each designed to provide unique and memorable experiences for both leisure and utility-seeking guests. The company's commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction has positioned it as Tampa Bay's fastest-growing fleet, attracting tourism and local patronage alike, and creating a sea of memories for both its guests and dedicated crew members.

Within this dynamic and expanding enterprise, the role of Food & Beverage Manager is integral to maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all food and beverage service activities on board the various vessels. The manager's primary objective is to ensure complete guest satisfaction through impeccable service and smooth operations. Key responsibilities include supervising staff to maintain proficiency in food presentation, legal and safe alcoholic beverage service, adherence to kitchen safety protocols, and compliance with health regulations. The role demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to uphold and enforce company standards consistently.

The Food & Beverage Manager acts as a leader and mentor, guiding a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences even during peak service times. This involves hands-on involvement in scheduling, staff training, conflict resolution, and performance management to foster a positive and productive work environment. Operational management tasks include inventory control, cost management, daily reporting, and cash handling procedures, with familiarity in technology platforms such as Toast POS considered advantageous.

Additionally, the manager must demonstrate strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and guests, swiftly resolve issues, and adapt to the dynamic nature of maritime hospitality. The position requires availability across flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the round-the-clock nature of the cruise service industry. This role is also safety sensitive and complies fully with United States Coast Guard regulations, entailing participation in pre-employment and random drug screenings. Manthey Hospitality offers a vibrant work environment where the Food & Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in sustaining the company’s reputation for exceptional guest service and operational excellence while fostering an enjoyable and safe workplace for all team members.
