The brand's reputation is built on a foundation of integrated services, superior guest satisfaction, and continuous opportunities for personal and professional growth within the hospitality industry. Associated with a welcoming culture, Hyatt champions diversity and inclusion and provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
The Food and Beverage Manager position at Hyatt is a key leadership role within the award-winning rooftop bar, The Moon's Daughters, located at the prestigious Thompson San Antonio-Riverwalk. This full-time management role requires flexibility, with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied schedules to meet the dynamic needs of food and beverage operations. The manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage areas, including scheduling, forecasting, training, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws along with established operating procedures. A critical component of the job involves supporting and managing bars and restaurants in collaboration with other hotel departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in food and beverage management or supervision, complete with a passion for understanding and anticipating guest needs in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in general computer skills, including point-of-sale systems, is essential. The role demands strong communication, both verbal and written, alongside meticulous attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager will lead the team in achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction, providing coaching and reinforcement alignment with Hyatt's high standards.
The position also entails significant involvement in coordinating special events and holiday functions, contributing to the hotel's overall food and beverage strategy. Food and beverage cost control experience is considered advantageous. Candidates should possess high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership qualities, and a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service consistently. Hyatt is ready to welcome a professional who is enthusiastic about rising to the challenge of managing one of its signature food and beverage outlets and fostering an engaging, high-performance work environment that supports both guest and employee success.
