The Food and Beverage Manager role at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is a pivotal position within the Food and Beverage Team, tasked with managing the vibrant daily operations of The Rooftop restaurant. This role reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager and involves overseeing a dedicated team of 55 to 60 front-of-house staff members. The manager is expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, balancing a passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences with the capability to train, develop, and motivate a large team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing an upscale dining environment, with a preference for those who have worked in unionized settings. This position is classified as temporary and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The compensation range is competitive, offering an annual salary between $80,000 and $85,000 commensurate with experience and location. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant restaurant management experience
- Experience in upscale or luxury dining settings
- Availability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to manage a large front of house team
- Proficiency with cost and labor control practices
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in food and beverage
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in unionized workplace preferred
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale dining environment
- Experience managing a unionized environment preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills

Job Duties
- Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet daily operational needs
- Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and customer satisfaction
- Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate front of house staff
- Collaborate with Restaurant General Manager to maintain seamless communication and operational efficiency
- Drive team performance and foster a positive work environment
