The role of the Food and Beverage Manager at San Vicente Bungalows is pivotal in maintaining the club’s standards of excellence in service and operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house food and beverage activities and ensuring that all service standards are consistently achieved or exceeded. The Food and Beverage Manager will manage staff on the floor, supervise shifts, and be actively present during operations to guarantee superior delivery of service and member satisfaction.
This role requires a proactive and experienced leader who can hire, train, and develop front-of-house employees, crafting weekly training calendars to promote continuous improvement. The individual in this position will handle complaints efficiently, appraise staff performance regularly, and be involved in staff discipline when necessary, always fostering a positive work culture. Maintaining compliance with sanitation, safety regulations, and operational procedures is essential, as is managing costs by efficient scheduling and resource control.
Additional responsibilities include updating menus and operation hours, assisting with payroll administration, and maintaining effective communication channels between restaurant staff and upper management. Knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods, is crucial for supporting both staff and member education. Job Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience
- proven track record in luxury hospitality or exclusive member environments
- strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
- ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively
- familiarity with restaurant management software
- exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
- highly organized and detail oriented
- capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach to building relationships and delivering exceptional member experiences
- 5+ years management experience
- a passion for luxury hospitality and an understanding of the exclusive membership culture
- proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
- extensive food and beverage knowledge with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes
- familiarity with restaurant management software like OpenTable and Resy
- strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- ability to prioritize and delegate work with effective and consistent follow-through
- highly organized with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- self-motivated with high energy level
- must be a team player working with all levels of management and staff, and possess the ability to lead and motivate staff
- must be able and willing to work long hours, flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Job Duties
