This role demands an engaging, friendly, and detail-oriented professional who excels in coordinating and supervising daily department functions, while ensuring cost control and maximizing guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding staff, developing departmental goals, enforcing brand standards, and maintaining a harmonious, respectful workplace environment. The manager is also tasked with inventory control, scheduling to meet operational and financial objectives, coaching staff for performance improvement, and collaborating closely with sales teams and hotel leadership.\n\nAdditional key responsibilities involve overseeing menu development, managing bar operations including cost and beverage controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant food safety and liquor laws. The role requires strong communication skills to conduct regular meetings that keep the team informed and motivated. The Food & Beverage Manager must also be adept at evaluating market trends to innovate with liquor specials and presentation to enhance the overall guest experience. This full-time role operates on a rotating 7-day schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of hospitality operations. Candidates should have prior food and beverage management experience, preferably within hotel settings, and hold certifications such as T.I.P.S. and ServSafe. Job Requirements

  • Two years food and beverage management experience
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Reliable and able to multi-task under pressure
  • T.I.P.S. certification within 30 days if expired
  • ServSafe certification within 30 days if expired
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with computer software and POS systems
  • Willing to work rotating 7-day schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of food and beverage management experience, hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with common computer software and POS systems
  • T.I.P.S. certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department to ensure compliance with company and brand standards
  • Recruit, interview, and hire food and beverage associates
  • Develop departmental goals and objectives to organize and prioritize work
  • Drive associate engagement and recognition initiatives
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with team members
  • Manage ordering and inventory control for food and beverage supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial goals
  • Monitor associate performance, provide coaching and mentoring
  • Control food and beverage costs while maximizing guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with sales teams and hotel general manager
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage standards and liquor laws
  • Develop menus with the food and beverage team
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and pre-shift briefings
  • Educate bartenders on product knowledge and specials
  • Audit bar operations and cost controls
  • Monitor liquor sales and product mix
  • Receive, check, and document food and beverage deliveries
  • Perform accurate cash-out procedures at shift end
  • Evaluate market trends to create appealing liquor specials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
