The current opening is for a Food & Beverage Manager based at the Oregon Convention Center and Portland Expo Center. This role is critical as it directly influences the quality and delivery of the guest experience, ensuring operations not only meet but exceed standards for safety, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This salaried position offers a competitive compensation range between $68,000 and $72,000 annually.

The Food & Beverage Manager will work closely alongside the Director of Restaurants & Cafes to oversee all food and beverage operations at these high-profile venues. The ideal candidate will bring substantial leadership experience in hospitality, possess deep operational knowledge, and demonstrate an ability to motivate and develop successful teams. Their responsibilities will include overseeing menu execution, safety standards, concession operations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members. This role demands a strategic thinker with financial acumen to manage costs and drive revenue goals while delivering an outstanding guest experience. Operational duties include ensuring all concession areas display products correctly, that preventative maintenance schedules are followed, and that all shifts are properly staffed and trained. The manager will also be responsible for adhering to responsible alcohol service policies, managing inventories, scheduling, cash handling, and reporting. Furthermore, fostering open communication lines through regular meetings and providing coaching and mentorship to team members is a cornerstone of this role.

Candidates should be passionate about hospitality, food, and retail sectors, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of using data and analytics to improve business performance. A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, complemented by a minimum of three years in a leadership role within hospitality or retail. Proficiency with computer systems and POS technology is essential as is the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job Duties

  • understands all menus, product offerings, packaging and pricing
  • ensures all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise
