The Food and Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within the dining outlets of the Kessler Collection’s properties. This management position focuses on ensuring exceptional guest experiences across the restaurant, lounge, in-room dining, and pool service areas. The role entails supervisory responsibilities for service staff, guaranteeing adherence to operational standards and sanitation protocols. The Food and Beverage Manager acts as a role model in guest service, leading by example to maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere that meets the company’s high standards. Core functions include scheduling dining reservations, inspecting kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and compliance, managing inventory of food and beverage supplies, and monitoring staff performance. The manager must ensure that local, state, and federal liquor laws are followed and that cash handling procedures are conducted accurately. This position demands strategic leadership to align department goals with the organization’s mission and core values, fostering engagement, accountability, and excellence among team members.
Beyond operational oversight, this role requires hands-on involvement during peak meal periods to support servers and enhance the dining experience. The manager also facilitates training and development efforts focused on service excellence, efficiency, and compliance. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with property management systems are essential. Candidates are expected to have a high school diploma with at least one year of relevant experience in luxury hospitality or similar food and beverage management roles. Food and alcohol safety certifications, either already obtained or acquired within 30 days, are preferred.
