Job Requirements
- High school graduate or some college
- training in food and beverage operations primarily in banquets preferred
- two years related experience preferably in a facility of similar size and complexity including supervisory experience
- bachelor’s degree in hotel management, culinary arts, or related field preferred
- must speak fluent English
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
- ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- ability to handle food objects and products
- ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
- willing to work primarily in banquet meeting space, Food & Beverage outlet and kitchen areas
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Train and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage
- monitor performance and recommend corrective action
- alert management of potentially serious issues
- respond in a prompt and professional manner to guest requests and complaints
- make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction
- oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures
- inspect Food & Beverage areas to ensure high quality food and food presentation and cleanliness
- conduct pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events and review daily specials
- promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- routinely greet guests and serve food and beverage
- perform other duties as assigned
- monitor quality of service in banquet operations
- ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations
- ensure compliance with SOP’s in all Food & Beverage areas
- prepare payroll and tip distribution
- coordinate all banquet related Food and Beverage requirements with the appropriate department
- keep kitchen informed of accurate counts for plating
- review menu/service with the Director of Food & Beverage
- maintain up to date details on banquet functions and communicate to managers
- make personal contact with guests and assist with requests
- supervise proper tabulation of all banquet checks and ensure checks are presented to guests for signature
- ensure safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of service areas
- oversee banquet set-up assignments
