The Food and Beverage Supervisor position at McDowell Mountain Golf Club is an integral role within the hospitality team. This position involves a hands-on approach to managing food and beverage operations, ensuring seamless service across all outlets and events. The supervisor works closely with the Executive Chef and banquet staff to maintain consistent food quality and service standards. Responsibilities include interacting with guests to promote the club's dining facilities and services, addressing guest concerns swiftly and professionally, and overseeing event setup and breakdown. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication and organizational skills, exhibit flexibility with scheduling including evenings and weekends, and demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This role supports club activities to enhance member satisfaction and operational excellence while controlling food and beverage costs efficiently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of banquet or food and beverage supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to perform restaurant and bar services
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints and concerns effectively
  • Organizational skills for managing inventory and event setups

Job Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years banquet and or food and beverage supervisory experience
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Proven experience supervising banquet staff in an event setting
  • Demonstrated outstanding customer service
  • Willingness to learn and perform restaurant and bar services
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail drive and motivation
  • Flexibility with schedule including evenings and weekend work

Job Duties

  • Interacts with guests promoting food and beverage facilities products and services
  • Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest maintains effective guest relations
  • Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns
  • Coordinates with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless execution of food
  • Maintains food quality and service standards for location
  • Maintains accurate inventory and appropriate supply levels
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of food and beverage work areas and facilities
  • Supervises event set up and break down procedures contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of facility and event location
  • Maintains complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions and communicates expectations to banquet staff
  • Provides direct service to guests as needed including serving tables bussing tables seating guests and general clerical cash duties
  • Supervises banquet staff ensures quality service is provided to guests
  • Supports all activities within the club to ensure exceptional member experience
  • Oversees food and beverage outlets during service
  • Controls food and beverage costs including payroll equipment supplies and products
