Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior food and beverage role
  • Valid Washington state food handler's and MAST permit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Effective leadership and motivational skills
  • Experience with POS systems preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years or more of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
  • At least 3 years experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Ability to implement new F&B concepts
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Valid WA food handler's and MAST permit
  • Prior experience with POS systems preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds

Job Duties

  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals
  • Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them
  • Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices
  • Working closely with the Hotel Manager and finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue
  • Multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, banquets, and in-room dining facilities as well as a number of managers and supervisors
  • Assisting with the budget, marketing plans and objectives and managing within those approved plans
  • Implementing and maintaining F&B sales/marketing programs
  • Mentorship and overseeing the development of employees
  • Hiring, training, empowering, coaching/counseling and conducting annual performance reviews
  • Directing the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations
  • Coordinating food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
  • Resolving guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Implementing procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
  • Exercising quality control for both food and beverage
  • Maintaining standards of service and ensure their implementation
  • Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and brand standards
  • Coaching and counseling employees to reflect brand service standards and procedures
  • Maintaining schedules for multiple outlets each week based on forecast and event schedules
  • Ensuring all colleagues maintain current food and alcohol permits at all times
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
