Job Description

Forsyth Country Club is a prestigious and well-established private country club renowned for its exceptional facilities and outstanding member services located in the heart of Forsyth County. This club operates as a premier destination for leisure, dining, and social events, offering members a blend of luxury, comfort, and exclusivity. Forsyth Country Club prides itself on creating memorable experiences through its superb amenities which include meticulously maintained golf courses, elegant event spaces, and outstanding Food & Beverage operations that cater to a diverse and discerning membership. The club emphasizes excellence, community engagement, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages both relaxation and social interaction. With a strong focus on service quality and member satisfaction, Forsyth Country Club continues to uphold its reputation as a top-tier club where members enjoy exceptional hospitality and exclusive events in a beautiful, well-appointed setting.

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager role at Forsyth Country Club is a crucial leadership position designed to manage and elevate the club's $4.75 million Food & Beverage operations. This highly visible role demands a dynamic leader who is hands-on and ready to work directly with the talented service team to ensure seamless, high-quality food and beverage experiences across various club outlets. The position’s responsibilities span a range of operational facets including a la carte dining, large-scale banquets, club-wide events, and seasonal amenities such as the Pool Snack Bar pavilion. The F&B Manager acts as the driving force behind the club’s service excellence by providing comprehensive management coverage on a rotational basis across multiple outlets including the Pool Café, Forsyth Grill, and Banquets.

Tasked with fostering a team-oriented culture that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development, the F&B Manager supervises, coaches, and motivates service staff while maintaining high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and presentation. The role requires close coordination with other club managers such as the Banquet Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Clubhouse Managers to ensure consistently outstanding member service. Managing operational performance includes handling staffing levels, scheduling, floor assignments, and labor costs while ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and employment regulations.

Given the club’s focus on member satisfaction, the F&B Manager is also the point person for addressing member and guest concerns, taking proactive corrective actions to enhance the member experience. The position demands a strong leader willing to engage directly in service activities including bartending, serving, event setup, and breakdown. Reporting duties include approving timecards, sending shift reports to leadership, conducting inventories of operational equipment and supplies, and overseeing the maintenance and safety of F&B facilities. The position offers flexible scheduling but requires availability during weekends, nights, and holidays on a rotating basis to support the club’s vibrant and varied event calendar.

To ensure success, the role includes hands-on training and mentorship with the Assistant General Manager, Director of Clubhouse Operations, and other key club managers. The physical demands of the position require the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions ranging from indoor dining rooms to outdoor poolside facilities. Overall, this role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional seeking to lead and innovate within a respected country club environment, driving superior food and beverage experiences that align with Forsyth Country Club’s commitment to excellence and member satisfaction.
