Job Description

Wawa, Inc. is a prominent and trusted convenience store and gas station chain that has been serving communities with excellence for decades. Known for its fresh food offerings, excellent customer service, and community-driven approach, Wawa has established itself as a beloved brand in the retail and foodservice industry. With a commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace, Wawa values its associates as the core of its success. The company’s culture promotes teamwork, growth, and mutual support, ensuring that all employees have the opportunity to thrive and build rewarding careers. Wawa’s dedication to quality extends beyond its products to encompass the well-being and development of its team members. This is evident in the comprehensive benefits offered, including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support, as well as financial incentives and wellness programs.

The role of Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within a store. This role is critical to ensuring a consistent, fresh, and customer-focused experience for guests each day. The Food & Beverage Manager works collaboratively with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to manage daily operational functions, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and drive sales performance. This position offers an hourly wage range of $22.70 to $30.60, which is based on experience, position level, and location, and also includes eligibility for monthly bonus incentives.

In this role, you will take full ownership of a variety of food and beverage programs, including fresh food offerings, grab-and-go meals, drinks, and catering services. As the in-store expert on these programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives, you are expected to stay current on trends and collaborate with peers to develop action plans that optimize food service sales and maximize customer satisfaction. The Food & Beverage Manager also plays an essential role in training and motivating Customer Service Associates, ensuring they deliver outstanding service with proficiency and enthusiasm.

Additionally, the position involves supporting recruitment, training, scheduling, and overall team development efforts. Recognizing and fostering great performance among associates is a priority, as is maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting food service environment that complies with all health and safety regulations. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and overseeing equipment maintenance are also critical to ensuring smooth and efficient store operations.

Wawa’s Food & Beverage Manager position is suited for individuals who possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and organizational abilities. The ability to multitask, make sound decisions, and drive positive change in a fast-paced environment is critical for success. Candidates with experience in food service or retail leadership are especially well-positioned to excel in this role. By joining Wawa, associates become part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to enhancing the customer experience and community engagement. If you are passionate about leading a team, optimizing food programs, and contributing meaningfully to a respected brand, this role presents an exciting opportunity to soar to new career heights.
